Our mission is simple: to provide exceptional care without exception to every patient, every time. For more than 30 years, we’ve made quality healthcare accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

Full-Service Care That Includes Skin Cancer Screenings

Our patients trust Sunrise Clinics to support their health needs from head to toe, and skin cancer detection is part of that commitment. While we are not a specialty dermatology clinic, we offer skin cancer screenings as a vital part of our routine and preventive care. Whether it's during an annual wellness exam or a visit for a specific skin concern, our trained providers evaluate moles, rashes, growths, and other skin-related changes that could indicate early signs of skin cancer.

Where to Access Skin Cancer Clinic Services

Sunrise Clinics offers care through six primary clinic sites and more than 20 school-based health centers. Skin cancer screenings are available at our core locations in Las Vegas, Raton, Tucumcari, and Santa Rosa. Screenings are conducted by compassionate medical providers who take time to explain findings, answer questions, and, when necessary, refer patients for biopsy, dermatology, or oncology services. Our focus is always on early detection, timely referrals, and removing barriers to care.

Affordable and Accessible Skin Cancer Care

Everyone deserves access to high-quality care—including skin cancer screenings. At Sunrise Clinics, we welcome patients from all backgrounds and life stages. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Turquoise Care (New Mexico Medicaid). For those without coverage, we offer a sliding fee scale to ensure cost is never a reason to delay a screening. If you're unsure about your eligibility, our staff will help guide you through enrollment or financial assistance options.

Community-Based Skin Cancer Screenings

Our approach to skin cancer screenings is rooted in community care. Unlike traditional specialty providers, we offer these screenings within a broader primary care setting that considers the whole person. Sunrise Clinics serves over 9,000 patients annually with a team of more than 100 dedicated professionals—many of whom live in the same communities as the patients they serve. We understand the unique challenges of rural healthcare and work to meet them head-on through in-person and telehealth appointments, care coordination, prescription support, and even patient transportation.

What to Expect from a Skin Cancer Screening at Sunrise

During a skin cancer screening at Sunrise Clinics, you’ll receive a thorough skin evaluation from a skilled and compassionate provider. They will examine the skin for irregularities, track any changes, and discuss factors such as sun exposure, family history, and lifestyle habits. If something concerning is found, our team will connect you to appropriate specialists and ensure you receive the follow-up care you need. We believe in providing continuity, so you’re never left to navigate your care alone—we’re with you every step of the way.
