School Based Health Clinics

Bringing Healthcare Directly to Students Through School Based Health Clinics

Sunrise Clinics is dedicated to improving health outcomes for children and teens by offering convenient, quality care through our network of school based health clinics. These clinics are located directly on school campuses to provide essential medical and behavioral health services to students, faculty, and staff. By embedding healthcare into the school environment, our school based health clinics reduce barriers such as transportation and scheduling challenges, making it easier for families to access care.

Comprehensive Services Available at School Based Health Clinics

Our school based health clinics provide a wide range of healthcare services designed specifically for the needs of students. These services include thorough medical examinations, health assessments, and education to promote wellness. We offer sports medicine, including physicals required for athletic participation, and treatment for both acute illnesses and ongoing chronic conditions. Behavioral health support is also an integral part of our school based health clinics, addressing mental health and substance use concerns with compassionate, professional care.

Enrollment and Access for Students at School Based Health Clinics

To receive care through the school based health clinics, students must be enrolled by their parent or guardian, who completes and returns an enrollment form available in both English and Spanish. Once enrolled, students can access these healthcare services conveniently during school hours without missing class time or facing transportation difficulties. For times when school is not in session, our students are able to continue their care at Sunrise Clinics’ locations in Santa Rosa, Tucumcari, and Las Vegas, ensuring continuity of care throughout the year.

Supporting Student Health Beyond Physical Care

Sunrise Clinics’ school based health clinics recognize that health is more than just physical well-being. Mental health services are a vital part of our offerings, providing counseling and behavioral support to students coping with stress, anxiety, depression, or substance use issues. These services help students manage challenges that can impact their academic performance and overall quality of life. The integration of behavioral health within our school based health clinics allows for early intervention in a familiar and trusted setting.
